Back in 2017, I found myself tagging along on a college visit with my older sister (who would go on to graduate from the U. with a BFA in Graphic Design). While she had her sights set on another residence hall, my mom and I took a detour from the tour to check out the relatively new Lassonde Studios. From the moment I stepped in the front lobby and scanned the industrial-tech themed creative spaces and vending machines filled with tools and spare parts instead of Vitamin Water…I knew I’d found my future home. I made sure to get pictures as a manifestation of what I decided I wanted my college experience to look like.

Fast forward to Fall of 2024, when I moved into Lassonde as a Freshman at the U. After living here for a semester, I can say that it has been everything I expected and MORE! On the Games and Digital Media floor, I have truly met “My People” and created a social and academic network that will stay with me through my years here at the U.
